Claude is the engineering team; the founder is the engineering manager. AI output is a pull request, never a merge — AI decides implementation details, humans decide everything irreversible. Each phase of the pipeline ends at a gate, and the gate is a checklist that blocks the next phase until it passes. Most AI failures are context failures, so VCOS invests heavily in written, versioned context: the rules live in the repository next to the code they govern.

Nothing here is a placeholder. Idea Scoring weights six dimensions to 100 points with published cut-offs — ≥ 75 validates, 60–74 parks the idea for 90 days, under 60 rejects it — plus a list of auto-rejects no score can override. Bias-Proof Validation runs two weeks against a pass bar pre-registered in Git, with an AI designated skeptic whose only job is to argue no.

What exactly do I get today?
The complete 43-page handbook as an A4 PDF, plus access to the companion VCOS Core Repository, which ships now as workspace scaffolding and architecture. The templates, checklists, and prompt library described in the book are still being built and arrive in free v2.x updates — they are not included today. Buy this for the system and the discipline, not for a template pack.
Who is this for — and who is it not for?
It is written for someone who can already write and ship code: solo developers, freelancers, indie hackers, and founders who work with an AI coding assistant as a collaborator, not a replacement for engineering judgment. If you have shipped at least one app, script, or project to real users, you are the intended reader. If you have never shipped anything, the handbook will still teach you the system, but the curve is steep and you should expect to learn Flutter and Firebase fundamentals in parallel, outside this book. VCOS is a production discipline layered on top of engineering skill, not a substitute for it.
What do I need before starting?
Comfort with Git and command-line basics, and at least one modern app framework — VCOS defaults to Flutter, though you do not need to know Flutter before starting if you can learn it from documentation without hand-holding. Recommended readiness: a GitHub account, a code editor, and a Firebase project on the free tier. Nothing else is required to begin Part I.
How do updates work?
Minor updates (v2.x) are additive — new templates, new prompts, corrected examples, clarity improvements — and are free for all license holders, delivered through the companion repository. Major updates (v3.0+) change the system structurally and are priced separately, at a preferential rate for existing owners. Every change is logged in the repository CHANGELOG before it ships: if it isn't in the changelog, it didn't happen.
What is the refund policy?

What am I licensed to do with it?
The default is a single-user commercial license: one founder, unlimited personal and commercial apps. Team covers up to five seats with shared repository access; Enterprise covers unlimited seats with priority update delivery.
